How referrals work
Get your unique link, code and QR code
When you subscribe, your profile page generates a personal referral link, a short referral code, and a QR code you can share anywhere.
Share with friends, family or on social media
Send your link directly, post it online, or let someone scan your QR code — however you prefer.
Earn credit when they subscribe
When someone subscribes using your link their subscription price is added to your annual referral credit pool — up to your own annual subscription cost.
How the credit pool works
- ✓When someone subscribes using your link their subscription price is added to your annual referral credit pool.
- ✓Your pool is capped at your own annual subscription cost — Pro annual cap: R588 (R49 × 12), Max annual cap: R1 188 (R99 × 12).
- ✓Credits accumulate across all your referrals for the year and are applied to reduce your annual bill.
Examples
Mixed referrals (Pro plan) — You are on Pro (R49/month). You refer 3 friends on Pro and 2 friends on Max. Each friend credits their own full subscription amount, not yours — your pool: 3 × R49 = R147 plus 2 × R99 = R198. Total pool: R345. Your annual bill of R588 is reduced by R345 — saving you over 7 months.
Free renewals (Pro plan) — You are on Pro (R49/month). You refer 12 friends on Pro. Your pool: 12 × R49 = R588 — exactly your annual cost. Your first payment always goes through in full, but from your second payment onward every renewal is covered until the pool runs out — 11 free months this year, and a full 12 every year after.
Mixed referrals (Max plan) — You are on Max (R99/month). You refer 5 friends on Max and 4 friends on Pro. Pool: 5 × R99 = R495 plus 4 × R49 = R196. Total: R691 — capped at your annual Max cost of R1 188. You have earned nearly 7 free months.
Referring friends on higher or equal plans fills your credit pool faster. Referring friends on lower plans still earns credit — just at their rate.
The loyalty multiplier
The longer you stay subscribed, the more you can earn the following year.
- ✓Your referral allowance determines how many friends you can refer each year. Your credit pool resets to zero on January 1st — unused credit does not carry over.
- ✓Every subscribed child starts with12 referral creditsfor their first year — subscribe three children and you start with 36.
- ✓From year 2 onwards, each child's own contribution to your allowance equals however many months that child stayed subscribed the previous year — added together across all your children.
- ✓This means the longer you stay, the more you can earn next year.

Founding Member referral caps
Founding Member rates are locked in for your first year of subscription. Your referral credit pool is based on your founding rate — so 12 referrals on the same founding plan can cover every renewal for the rest of that year (your first payment is always charged in full).
