Built by a student, for students
I'm a 20-year-old student from Durbanville, Cape Town. Like a lot of South African students, I hit a wall with maths at some point — the kind of wall where you know you need help but aren't sure where to find it without it costing a fortune. Private tutors here can easily charge R300 to R500 an hour, and most free content online is built for the American or British curriculum, so it doesn't even match what your teacher writes on the board.
So I built Mathly — clear, CAPS-aligned study guides and practice material for Grade 4 through Grade 12, priced as a genuine alternative to expensive tutoring, not an addition to it. It's still early days, and there's a lot more to build. But the foundation is there, and the goal hasn't changed: quality maths help that doesn't exclude anyone.
